Our Honor
Extend the legs, raise the arm, fully extend the boom, achieving a working radius of 17.5 meters. After lifting a load of 1000 pounds, full rotation and retraction with the load can be realized.
This is the "hot" product built by Changxing Machinery Technology Co., Ltd.—the "Banjun Changxing" brand 12-ton five-section straight-arm truck crane. Due to its strong stability, high quality, cost-effectiveness, and wide application, it has become the "fighter jet" among similar cranes, ranking first in market share nationwide.
From straight-arm cranes, knuckle boom cranes to large knuckle boom cranes, and from 1.8 tons to 130 tons, Changxing has dedicated six years to its development, becoming the enterprise with the most comprehensive truck crane products, largest scale, and newest technology in China. The total production and sales volume of truck cranes ranks third nationally.
On April 19, journalists visited Changxing to explore how the company is writing the "myth" of cranes.
Value: Booms Account for 30% to 50% of Entire Vehicle
Visiting the old factory of Changxing in the northern suburbs of Zengdu District, hundreds of truck cranes raised their long "arms", with the distinctive red and white design as the "exclusive" design of Changxing, looking very striking and spectacular.
Truck cranes are equipment that achieve the lifting, rotation, and transportation of goods through hydraulic lifting and telescopic systems, combining lifting and transport, characterized by multi-functionality, high efficiency, labor-saving, and suitability for operations in narrow areas. “Booms have very high requirements on materials, technology, and craftsmanship and is a sector with a 'threshold',” said Bai Guitao, General Manager of Changxing. He introduced that, unlike many specialized automobile products, the value of the boom accounts for 30% to 50% of the entire vehicle's value. For specialized vehicle companies, this means that the superstructure can bring more added value to the enterprise.
After in-depth investigation into the domestic and international truck crane markets, Bai Guitao believed that truck cranes, as an important tool vehicle model, have a relatively low usage rate domestically but an extremely wide range of applications, indicating a very broad development space.
Therefore, in 2016, leveraging the advantages of their existing special vehicle sales channels, Changxing advanced into the specialized vehicle production field, focusing all resources and attention towards the truck crane subdivision.
In 2020, with the completion and commissioning of the phase three new factory, Changxing's truck crane products covered all types including straight-arm, knuckle boom, and large knuckle boom, capable of producing more than 60 models in over 20 tonnages. For three consecutive years, Changxing's truck crane market share ranked third nationally, only behind XCMG and SANY Heavy Industry, two industry giants.
Innovation: Strengthening "Internal Skills" and Utilizing "External Brainpower"
Since 2020, Changxing has been honored as a high-tech enterprise, a specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprise, and an "invisible champion" enterprise.
Growth and transformation come from relentless innovation.
In the straight-arm crane production workshop of Changxing’s phase three, an intelligent welding robot works 24 hours, able to complete welding for five frames. Compared to manual welding, efficiency has increased fivefold, and product consistency and qualification rates have also significantly improved.
Welding is an important process in special vehicle production. During the new factory construction, Changxing accelerated technical transformations and improved process flows. They invested over 10 million yuan to introduce 12 intelligent welding robots, gradually integrating them into production, achieving robot replacement in core production lines.
Technological innovation relies not only on companies honing "internal skills" but also requiring assistance from "external brainpower."
Since its inception, Changxing has established its own R&D team, investing heavily to attract technical talent to gain traction, achieving independent control over key core technologies such as hydraulics. In recent years, Changxing has collaborated deeply with colleges and institutes such as the Suizhou Industrial Research Institute of Wuhan University of Technology, leveraging intelligence and resources to solve a series of technical issues. Professor Liu Yinshui from Huazhong University of Science and Technology has set up an expert workstation at Changxing to jointly tackle green hydraulic drive technology.
Last year, with technical support from Wuhan University of Technology, Changxing launched the "intelligent weighing system" for truck cranes. This system offers functions like automatic weighing, remote multi-unit management, cost settlement, and overload warning, highly welcomed in the market, representing a breakthrough in the company's push for intelligent transformation.
Under the regular epidemic prevention and control situation, Changxing also introduced the on-site "Thousand Miles Eye" system, recording the production process in real-time and providing comprehensive online product display to help customers understand and choose products without leaving their homes.
Quality: Earning Reputation and Shaping Brand
At noon on the 19th, two customers from Quzhou, Zhejiang came to Changxing to pick up their vehicles. “A friend has used this model before and said it was good.” They purchased Changxing's "hot" product, the five-section straight-arm truck crane. Good quality, high cost-effectiveness, and fast delivery were the reasons they chose Changxing’s truck cranes.
"Changxing's structures for truck cranes come with a lifetime warranty," Bai Guitao stated. "From steel raw materials to the final coating, Changxing insists on excellence, with quality being the foundation of our promise."
The reputation of Changxing's "Banjun Changxing" brand is growing louder. Changxing is also the designated assembly base for Sany Palfinger in the central China region and has been the national sales champion enterprise for Sany Palfinger for five consecutive years.
Over the years, Changxing has maintained a stable development trend, producing over 6,000 special vehicle products in 2021, achieving an output value of 420 million yuan.
In subdivision areas, there is great potential. Bai Guitao expressed the intention to continue strengthening R&D innovation, promoting the iteration and upgrade of truck cranes, enhancing and expanding boom-type special vehicle products, and continuously amplifying the "Suizhou made" truck crane brand.
